About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic maintenance team supporting multiple secure and operational sites across Scotland and the North-West of England. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of essential electrical systems through planned maintenance and responsive repairs on a wide range of electrical plant and building services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across electrical systems, plant, and building services.
- Provide technical support for electrical infrastructure, including building wiring systems.
- Prioritise and manage workloads effectively to meet operational demands.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Participate in an on‑call rota within the maintenance team.
- Monitor and support contractor performance and site activities.
- Work independently across multiple sites while maintaining high standards of service.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within commercial, industrial, or similar environments.
- Ability to work across multiple locations and manage changing priorities.
- Strong understanding of electrical regulations and technical standards.
- Confident working independently and as part of a wider team.
- Strong diagnostic, fault‑finding, and problem‑solving skills.
Essential Qualifications
- Electrical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation/Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Good understanding of current IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Full UK driving licence (clean).
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Authorised Person (Low Voltage), JSP, or CompEx qualifications/experience.
- Full training and development support provided if not already held.
Security Clearance
Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility to gain is required to be considered for this vacancy.
Additional Information
- Full‑time, permanent position.
- Mobile role covering multiple sites across Scotland and North West England.
- Flexible base location (as long as travel requirements are met).
- On‑call rota participation required.
