Senior Content Manager (Web & Acquisition)

Location: London, hybrid

Contract: 3 month FTC (or freelance)

Job Purpose: Embedded role within the marketing team of a UK award‑winning fintech based in Canary Wharf. The focus is scaling the account proposition, driving organic acquisition, and using the website as a key growth driver for both traditional search and AI‑driven discovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and optimise high‑performing web content that drives acquisition, conversion and better customer outcomes.
  • Write new pages and improve existing ones across the website, partnering with product on transactional journeys.
  • Apply editorial judgement to improve clarity, structure and effectiveness of all pages.
  • Work closely with SEO and performance partners to deliver on a defined roadmap, create PPC landing pages and translate insights into content.
  • Audit and improve existing content, identify gaps and propose content‑led tests with product and engineering.
  • Ensure consistent brand tone and visual identity across the site.
  • Manage freelance support when needed (briefing, editing, QA).

Success Metrics

  • High‑quality content that meets acquisition and conversion goals.
  • Measurable gains in engagement and conversion on owned pages, increased organic visibility including from LLMs.
  • More structured, scalable site experience that supports product growth.
  • Strong collaboration with product, design, engineering, brand, SEO and performance teams.

Requirements

  • Experience creating or managing web content for acquisition or conversion, ideally in e‑commerce, marketplace or app‑led businesses.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, ability to simplify complex ideas.
  • Experience with GA4, Hotjar and BI dashboards such as Tableau to derive insights.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional teams and challenging briefs.
  • Degree in English, Journalism or a related field is a plus.
