Regional Retail Sales Manager (East and North Midlands)

Highly competitive salary plus quarterly on‑target bonus of 15% if sales targets are achieved (with quarterly stretch target bonus of 40%) and other excellent benefits.

The Regional Sales Manager leads their region to deliver exceptional commercial results and consistently outstanding customer experiences. They take full accountability for the region’s financial performance, translating business objectives into clear strategies and actionable plans that drive sales, profitability, and operational excellence across multiple stores.

This role is field‑based; you will need to commute across all of the East and North Midlands store portfolio.

Through confident and visible leadership, the Regional Sales Manager motivates and develops store leaders, ensuring the consistent application of the company’s customer experience model and brand standards. They foster a positive, inclusive, and high‑performing culture across the region, supporting leaders to coach and develop their teams, drive performance, and create engaging customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Excellence:

  • Owns regional financial performance—driving sales growth, controlling costs, and delivering profit targets.
  • Analyses regional data and performance trends to identify key drivers, make informed commercial decisions, and take targeted actions that directly improve results.
  • Champions a customer‑first culture, ensuring every store consistently delivers high‑quality experiences that build loyalty, strengthen engagement, and enhance brand reputation.
  • Ensures consistent execution of the customer experience model across all stores, monitoring performance, intervening where needed, and enabling teams to exceed sales and service expectations.
  • Leads best‑in‑class brand execution across the region, delivering flawless launches, campaigns, and seasonal activity while continuously elevating standards and influencing improvements at a broader level.

Operational Excellence:

  • Plans proactively for the long term while remaining agile to changing priorities—keeping teams motivated and on track across multiple workstreams.
  • Aligns store scheduling to trading performance, using data to inform decisions while maintaining flexibility and payroll compliance.
  • Shapes the region’s long‑term structure, optimising roles and contracts to ensure effective deployment and alignment with rota guidelines.
  • Drives strong stock‑management standards to reduce loss and maximise sales, ensuring full compliance with policies across all stores.
  • Ensures robust compliance with health & safety, security, and data privacy—role‑modeling best practice and quickly escalating risks to protect people and the business.

People Excellence:

  • Role‑models company values and leadership behaviours in all actions, decisions, and interactions with teams and customers.
  • Builds an inclusive, high‑engagement culture across the region, shaping a positive environment and influencing the wider division.
  • Drives a strong performance culture by setting ambitious goals, aligning store plans, and providing clear feedback, coaching, and timely management of underperformance.
  • Champions continuous development, building capability, strengthening succession pipelines, and creating growth opportunities that drive engagement and retention.
  • Builds high‑performing teams by attracting, developing, and retaining strong leaders, while actively managing talent and enabling movement to support succession and reduce risk.

The Successful Candidate

  • Extensive store management experience within a large organisation, running a high‑profile region with high turnover.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering in a similar multi‑site field management role (e.g., Multi‑Site Manager, Area Manager, District Manager).
  • A customer‑centric and service‑focused team leader with a target‑driven and sales‑focused mentality.
