Job Role Male PA to support Autistic young man with independent living in Eccles HD-SC-001. A reliable Personal Assistant / Support Worker is required to support a young man with community access, social activities, and developing independent living skills.
The role will mainly involve supporting attendance at weekday evening and weekend sporting events and activities, alongside assistance with appointments and encouraging confidence and independence in day-to-day life.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Providing one-to-one support within the community and at social activities;
- Supporting attendance at weekday evening and weekend sporting events;
- Assisting with attending appointments and planned activities;
- Encouraging and developing independent living skills;
- Promoting confidence, communication, and social interaction;
- Supporting with planning routines and organisation skills;
- Ensuring the individual’s safety, wellbeing and comfort at all times;
- Providing reliable, respectful, discreet support;
- Building a positive and professional working relationship.
Qualifications
- Driver essential;
- Mature, reliable and trustworthy individual preferred;
- Experience supporting people with autism highly desirable;
- Positive, patient, encouraging approach;
- Flexible availability for evenings and weekends;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
