EC&I Engineer
The EC&I Engineer is responsible for delivering electrical, control and instrumentation engineering outputs within their assigned scope of work, ensuring outputs are fit for purpose, safe and compliant.
Responsibilities
- Develop and check engineering deliverables in line with defined requirements, applicable standards, and engineering procedures.
- Contribute to multi‑disciplinary engineering activities, reviews and assurance.
- Identify and record engineering assumptions, constraints, and risks.
- Support engineering reviews, checking and verification activities.
- Provide assurance of safety, quality and compliance in engineering delivery.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines, designers or project management.
Qualifications
- Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Control, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
- Formal training in electrical safety, control systems, or instrumentation engineering.
- Relevant EC&I engineering experience appropriate to the level of responsibility.
- Experience delivering EC&I engineering in a regulated or safety‑critical environment.
- Experience supporting engineering activities across different stages of the engineering lifecycle (concept, outline, detailed design).
- Experience applying relevant engineering standards, codes of practice, and design guidance.
- Experience working within a multi‑disciplinary engineering team.
- Experience contributing to Learning from Experience or continuous improvement activities.
- Ability to meet role‑specific security clearance and site access requirements.
