Refrigeration Engineer – Job Overview

Refrigeration Engineer required covering across the North West, Yorkshire & the Midlands. Our client is a well‑established refrigeration and process engineering company with a reputation built on technical excellence and quality of delivery. They specialise in the design, installation, service and maintenance of all types of heavy commercial & light industrial refrigeration systems, specialising in the food production, bakery & brewery sectors.

Salary & Benefits

• Up to £44,000 basic salary (DOE)
• Door to Door travel paid
• 40-hour working week
• Plenty of overtime available paid at 1.5x & 2x
• Up to £5,000 bonus (paid quarterly against KPIs)
• 1 in 6 on call rota – £200 retainer + overtime rates for call out
• OTE £60,000
• 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Position Overview

Planned and reactive maintenance, service, fault finding and repairs on Cold Rooms, Freezer Rooms, Air‑Cooled & Water‑Cooled Chillers.

Visiting sites across food production, bakery & brewery sectors. Travel across the North West, Yorkshire & the Midlands.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance and repairs on refrigeration equipment.
• Provide reactive maintenance and support on commercial and light industrial refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose faults and conduct repairs on cold rooms, freezer rooms and chillers.
• Travel frequently across the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands to service client sites.

Requirements

• Live in the Midlands, North West or Yorkshire.
• Fgas Category 1 certification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
