Salesforce Developer

Location: Wilmslow or Hybrid or Remote – Full‑Time

The Citation Group is a collective of businesses supporting small and medium‑sized enterprises across the UK, Canada and Australia. We provide services that help business leaders focus on what they do best.

Role

Salesforce is a core strategic platform for us, and we are midway through a dynamic rollout across the group. You will join a team working on projects across the Salesforce ecosystem including Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, Sales Cloud, Pardot, CPQ, Experience Cloud, and FinancialForce.

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with product owners and senior stakeholders to deliver the agreed roadmap.
  • Collaborate with a multi‑scrum team of onshore and offshore resources, including project managers, architects, business analysts, admins, developers, and testers.
  • Use a mature CI/CD pipeline and contribute to test automation coverage.
  • Deliver end‑to‑end configuration and change management of the system.
  • Ensure best practices are followed for Salesforce solution usage and data management.
  • Participate in billing, finance, sales, pricing and field service projects.

Person

We are looking for a candidate who can roll their sleeves up and ‘dig in’ with the rest of the team. The successful candidate should have core experience in:

  • Configuring and customising the Salesforce platform.
  • Lightning Web Components, Apex, Visualforce, and Data Loader.
  • SOQL, triggers, validation rules, workflow, and approvals.
  • Custom objects, fields and formulas.
  • Salesforce DX and GitHub source control.
  • CI/CD and continuous integration / delivery.
  • Data sharing and visibility rules.

Education & Experience

  • Experience as a Salesforce Developer across a range of Salesforce products.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong Salesforce configuration knowledge and understanding of when to customise.
  • Experience in an agile environment using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of environment management, release management, code management and versioning best practices.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification desirable.
  • Experience in Salesforce CPQ and marketing automation desirable.
