Job Overview

The Head of Strategic Finance is a senior member of the Corporate Finance Team, providing the Trust’s Executive Directors with a comprehensive financial management service to support the delivery of the Trust’s strategic priorities.

When UHBW merges with NBT in July 2026 this role will take on the responsibilities outlined in the job description for the new merged Trust.

This is a key role supporting delivery of Corporate Services Transformation and ensuring sound management of corporate budgets in the new merged organisation.

  • Understanding of NHS finance

  • Ability to present to a wide range of audiences on complex financial and business issues

Employment Terms

The successful applicant will normally commence at the minimum of the scale unless they have previous NHS service at the same band. Progression through the scale is by annual increments.
