Locum Consultant Radiologist – Paediatric Imaging

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking a Fixed Term Locum Consultant General Radiologist with a subspecialist interest in Paediatric Imaging. The role involves specialist reporting for acute and elective paediatric cases and working across both sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist reporting for acute and elective paediatric cases.
- Share general reporting workload with colleagues.
- Lead and develop paediatric acute services.
- Collaborate on clinical quality improvement projects.
Qualifications
- MBBS / MBBCh and FRCR.
- Paediatric Imaging sub‑specialist training.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice at time of application.
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register.
- Formal teaching qualifications.
- Formal NHS leadership / management training.
Experience
- Clinical training equivalent to a UK CCT in general radiology.
- Independent reporting in paediatric sonography and plain film.
- Experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate residents.
- Experience in a similar post and clinical leadership training.
- Basic IT skills and use of RIS and PACS.
- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate caring attitude toward patients.
Contract
Fixed term – 12 monthsFull‑timeSalary: £113,565 to £150,569 a year (dependent on experience)
