Do you want to work for a leading food manufacturer that values hard work, teamwork and developing people? They are part of a global group with multiple sites in the UK, this is their biggest factory employing over 500 people. They are looking for a Reliability Engineer to help to contribute towards their site maintenance development strategy.
Role And Responsibilities As a Reliability Engineer
- Responsible for looking at engineering performance, ensuring machinery, systems and service operate efficiently and effectively
- Reviewing and developing new PPMs and leading continuous improvement activities
- Machine condition monitoring and asset care management
- Identifying obsolete spares/parts, liaising with suppliers and OEMs
- Work closely with shift engineers to identify problems before they happen and suggest improvements
- Carry out RCA investigations and present weekly KPis and performance updates
- Manage plant overhauls, planning weekly shutdown schedules and contractor control
Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to be a Reliability Engineer:
- Previous experience of being a hands:on maintenance engineer would be beneficial
- Must have worked in food or FMCG manufacturing, ideally in a 24/7 operation
- Experience in a similar asst care, reliability, continuous improvement engineering role
- Must be NVQ Level 3 or higher qualified in engineering, ideally with an apprenticeship
- Strong problem solver, able to think outside the box and suggest improvements
- Good at assessing PPMs and creating new ones
- Excellent communicator : working closely with engineers, contractors, suppliers, OEMs
- Project engineering experience would be great
- Strong machine condition monitoring and RCA experience
