Pin Point Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, family-run business within the fresh produce sector. This is a hands‑on role offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work in a supportive, multicultural environment where teamwork and high standards are valued.
You will play a vital role in ensuring machinery, equipment, and site facilities are maintained to a safe, reliable, and compliant standard, supporting smooth day‑to‑day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery and site facilities
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions
- Undertake general building maintenance (plumbing and electrical experience desirable)
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and technical standardsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues clearly
- Work closely with operational teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency
- Support site projects, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Practical, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills
- Previous experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements and safe working practices
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards
(experience within food production, packhouse, or similar environments is advantageous)
