Structural Engineer – Timber Frame / Mass Timber (Birmingham)
We are working with a leading timber frame design and construction company specialising in the delivery of sustainable, energy‑efficient buildings across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking to strengthen our technical team with an experienced Structural Engineer.
Salary: DOE. Full‑time, permanent.
Responsibilities
- Produce structural calculations and technical designs for timber frame and mass timber projects.
- Work on a range of commercial, educational and bespoke developments.
- Collaborate with internal design teams, architects and external consultants throughout project delivery.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant UK building regulations and Eurocodes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients where required.
- Assist with the development and optimisation of engineering solutions across projects.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within timber engineering or timber frame design.
- Experience with CLT, Glulam or commercial timber structures would be highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and UK building regulations.
- Experience using structural design software and CAD packages.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
