Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern – Monday to Friday
SIA – Security Guarding or Door Supervisor License Required
Experience – Over 1 year experience in a security management role
This position requires a SC Clearance (set by the Government). You will be asked questions in a telephone interview to ensure you meet the requirements.
Your Time at Work
Operational Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for event organisers, stakeholders, and client representatives in relation to all event security matters.
- Ensure all operational activities are conducted in compliance with Assignment Instructions, Post Instructions, company procedures, and statutory obligations.
- Maintain overall responsibility for Event Security Officers deployed on shift, ensuring duties are carried out professionally, effectively, and in accordance with agreed standards.
- Coordinate daily operational requirements including:
- Staff deployment and resourcing
- Daily rosters and scheduling
- Operational briefings
- Roll call procedures
- Shift administration
- Event documentation
- Ensure all Event Security Personnel are correctly briefed on operational requirements, threat levels, emergency procedures, and client expectations prior to deployment.
- Prepare and issue operational briefings and relevant supporting documentation for all events and escort duties.
- Ensure all security equipment, communication systems, and operational resources remain fully functional and fit for purpose, reporting faults or deficiencies without delay.
- Maintain effective key management and access control procedures, including responsibility for secure systems and protocols within the Lancaster House estate.
- Other day‑to‑day responsibilities as dictated by circumstances and the needs of the business and Client.
Leadership and Team Management
- Provide professional leadership, direction, and support to the Events Security Team, promoting accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment that encourages professionalism, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Identify training and development requirements within the team, ensuring competency levels are maintained and appropriate training records are accurately documented.
- Support succession planning and staff development through mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
- Ensure all complaints, conduct concerns, and performance‑related matters involving Event Security Officers are managed promptly, professionally, and in accordance with company procedures.
- Lead by example through professional conduct, strong organisational capability, and effective time management.
Health, Safety and Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, company policies, risk management procedures, and client‑specific requirements.
- Promote and maintain a safe and secure working environment through proactive monitoring, operational oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support incident response procedures and ensure all incidents, hazards, and near misses are appropriately reported, investigated and documented.
- Contribute to business continuity planning and operational resilience measures where required.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Ensure Event Security Officer attendance records are accurately completed, authorised, and submitted to the Office Manager by 09:00 on the next working day following each event, excluding weekends.
- Complete and maintain daily and weekly event forecasting documentation within required timescales.
- Maintain accurate staffing schedules and operational deployment records using Javelin systems.
- Update and maintain contractual hours records and event rosters on the shared operational drive.
- Coordinate staffing requirements for future events and provide operational support to wider security teams where required.
- Conduct uniform inspections and post compliance checks across all FCDO event deployments.
- Undertake general contract administration duties and maintain accurate operational records at all times.

- Valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) Licence – minimum Door Supervisor (DS).
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance at both Government SC & DV Levels.
- Strong understanding of operational security procedures and incident management.
- Full compliance with company standards relating to appearance, conduct, and confidentiality.
