Collection & Recovery Specialist (x 2)

We are recruiting two Collection & Recovery Processing Specialists within the Debt and Income Maximisation Team in the Revenues and Benefits Service.

About the Role

As a Collection & Recovery Specialist you will work within the Debt and Recovery Teams, responsible for managing complex cases and supporting colleagues to maximise revenue for the Council. You will respond to service queries and handle complaints and enquiries within agreed deadlines, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.

You will join a dedicated team, working with skilled managers to deliver an ambitious programme of change focused on continuous improvement and high‑quality services, while providing strong leadership and direction.

This role offers hybrid working, with a mix of home and office‑based work. You will have a contractual work base and attend as required, supported by technology that enables effective remote working and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex cases within the Debt and Recovery Teams.
  • Respond to service queries and handle complaints and enquiries within agreed deadlines.
  • Deliver a high standard of service delivery in line with Council expectations.
  • Support colleagues to maximise revenue for the Council.
  • Work within a dedicated team delivering continuous improvement and high‑quality services.
