We’re looking for Smart Meter Engineers with a track record of safety and customer excellence. You’ll be representing our brands in our customers’ homes so you’ll need to be just as happy talking to the customer and getting to know them as you are about doing the installation itself.
You’ll be fitting meters; showing customers how their meter and in‑home display work; how it can help them save energy and answering any questions about the green energy revolution we are leading.
What you’ll need:
- Previous experience installing smart meters
- A customer first mindset and a can‑do attitude
- Valid MOCoPA certification held within the last 2 years (evidence required)
- Gas Safe – CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

- For every asset installed beyond your sixth, you’ll earn an additional £15
Call‑out and Overtime
- You will be on a rotating call‑out schedule once every five weeks (Monday to Sunday), for which you will receive a £250 retainer. If called out, you’ll be paid from door to door
Saturday working
- £50 for attending
- £70 for a dual fuel installation
- £35 for a single fuel installation
- Technical aborts are paid at half rate
Our Process
Our process usually takes up to 4 weeks. Throughout the stages you will be in contact with our recruitment team and recruiters will guide you through each step.
We’ll reach out to organise a phone call, followed by a virtual interview and a practical trade test. After completing the test you will hear from one of our recruiters regarding feedback.
Job Details
You’ll start on a £36,500 base, with the potential to earn up to £50,000 OTE including bonus and on‑call.
