Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Leicestershire
Salary: £35,000 – £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Holiday: 25 days annual leave.

Our client has been a staple within the area for over 40 years, designing and manufacturing bespoke automation solutions across numerous industries on a global scale. The company operates from a single site with approximately £10 million in turnover.
Role
We are seeking a progression driven Electrical Design Engineer, aiming for future leadership roles. The position involves collaborating with mechanical design, controls, and commissioning teams to deliver electrical design work via e-Plan.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical wiring diagrams and single‑line diagrams for bespoke machinery.
- Produce accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Excel spreadsheets for handover to software and product engineering teams.
- Support the electrical build and wiring of machinery, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
- Calculate appropriate breaker sizes and electrical load requirements for low‑power control systems.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Experience of electrical design on any platform.
- Experience of electrical wiring for complex machinery.
- Desire to progress within your electrical design career.
- Strong communication skills and a methodical, detail‑oriented approach.
