You will work on a wide range of high‑profile projects, mentor junior engineers, manage client relationships, and have genuine opportunities to progress as the office continues its planned expansion.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects across commercial, residential, PBSA, hotel, and mixed-use developments.
- Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle from RIBA Stage 1 through to handover.
- Produce electrical calculations, technical specifications, reports, and detailed design information.
- Attend client, design team, and project meetings as a key technical representative.
- Coordinate designs with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and wider project teams.
- Support and mentor junior and intermediate engineers within the business.
- Review project deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with current regulations and standards.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting repeat business opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider engineering team to deliver high-quality projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a Building Services consultancy environment.
- Strong experience delivering electrical designs on large-scale commercial, residential, hotel, PBSA, or mixed-use developments.
- Ability to manage projects independently and engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience across detailed design and technical delivery stages.
- Strong understanding of current and upcoming Building Services regulations and standards.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the construction and development process.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers and represent the business professionally.
- Strong written and spoken English skills.
