Head of Maintenance – Care Home

As a Head of Maintenance at The Wheatlands care home, you will ensure a clean, well‑maintained environment that allows residents to feel at home and staff to perform their duties effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the care home building, gardens and outdoor areas, including tasks such as fixing leaky taps and planting bulbs.
• Work independently and lead a maintenance team.
• Support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
• Liaise with contractors for work beyond the team’s expertise.
• Carry out all work with sensitivity to the residents’ needs.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• IT literacy.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Hands‑on experience of property maintenance and at least one trade skill.
