SharePoint Engineer / Developer – London (Hybrid Working)

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced SharePoint Engineer / Developer to join our team in London. This role involves designing, developing, and optimising complex SharePoint environments that support enterprise‑wide collaboration and digital transformation.

You will work across on‑premise and modern Microsoft ecosystems, contributing to high‑impact migration and upgrade programmes while ensuring performance, stability, and scalability.

Deliver SharePoint Solutions

• Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint on‑premises environments (SharePoint 2016 / Subscription Edition)
• Build and enhance solutions using .NET, PowerShell, and SharePoint Object Model / CSOM
• Configure and optimise SharePoint sites, libraries, workflows, and integrations

Lead Migrations & Upgrades

• Support and deliver end‑to‑end SharePoint migration and upgrade projects
• Ensure seamless transition of data, workflows, and permissions across environments
• Troubleshoot migration issues and drive successful outcomes

Optimise Performance & Stability

• Diagnose and resolve complex platform issues across integrated enterprise systems
• Apply best practices to improve performance, reliability, and scalability
• Work closely with wider IT teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong hands‑on expertise in:
• SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE)
• SharePoint on‑prem architecture
• Development experience in:
• PowerShell scripting
• .NET Framework
• SharePoint Object Model / CSOM
• Proven track record delivering SharePoint migration and upgrade projects
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performance optimisation skills
• Experience working within complex, integrated enterprise environments
• Desirable Experience
• Exposure to SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 environments
• Experience with document management or workflow platforms
• Familiarity with DevOps / CI‑CD practices
• Ability to operate effectively in time‑critical delivery environments
