Role: Solicitor / Legal Executive – Residential Conveyancing
Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire
Salary: From £45,000 + Annual Bonus

With deep community roots and a strong reputation across Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, the firm has become a trusted name in conveyancing, combining modern legal expertise with traditional client care values.
As part of the firm’s succession planning strategy, an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their growing Residential Conveyancing team.
This is not simply another fee earning role. It is a career-defining move for an ambitious conveyancer who is ready to take on leadership responsibility and progress towards long-term Partnership.
The Role
- Manage a broad, high-quality caseload of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity, re-mortgages, and new build transactions.
- Work closely with the Head of Department on departmental strategy and growth initiatives.
- Play an active role in business development, networking, and maintaining the firm’s excellent client relationships.
- Mentor and supervise junior colleagues, helping to develop the next generation of conveyancers.
- Take on increasing responsibility with a structured pathway to Partnership.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 4+ years’ PQE in residential conveyancing.
- Confident in handling your own caseload from instruction through to completion.
- Strong client care and communication skills, with a track record of building loyal client bases.
- Commercially minded, with the drive to support business development.
- Ambition to progress into a senior leadership role with Partnership potential.
