Senior Admin Officer – Cancer Referrals Team
University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Admin Officer to be part of the Cancer Services team.
Job Summary
An essential role in the cancer pathway, responsible for booking the first urgent suspected cancer appointments and managing referrals within 0‑7 days. The post-holder will work autonomously, applying departmental policies, keeping managers informed and using initiative. This position closes on 18 June 2026.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of an efficient office management system to support the department.
- Handle all telephone calls related to the outpatient appointment system in a polite, pleasant and professional manner.
- Book all Two‑Week Wait appointments according to the Patient Access Policy, ensuring use of Direct and Partial booking systems and adherence to waiting‑time targets.
- Maintain high data quality in Trust systems (iPM, E‑Referrals, CRRS, Openscape) – accurate, complete and current records.
- Obtain confidential patient information and record it securely on the hospital’s computerised system.
