Machine Operator

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a growing and well-established manufacturer of high-quality mild steel windows and doors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an engineering background who is looking to develop their skills within a specialist and in-demand sector.

This role will focus exclusively on mild steel products — no PVC or uPVC work involved.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating machinery used in the fabrication of mild steel windows and doors
• Assisting with cutting, shaping, and preparing steel components
• Reading and working from technical drawings (training can be provided)
• Supporting the fabrication and production team as required
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Ensuring quality standards are met at all stages of production

What We’re Looking For

• Engineering background (college, apprenticeship, or work-based)
• Previous machine operating experience is desirable but not essential
• Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
