1:1 SEND Support & Intervention Mentor

Location: York

Salary: £14.50 – £17.50 per hour

Start Date: ASAP and September roles available

Hours: Full time or part time

Contract: Temporary, Temp to Perm & Permanent

About the Role

We are working with inclusive schools across York seeking dedicated 1:1 SEND Support & Intervention Mentors to support pupils with additional learning needs. You will work closely with individual students, providing targeted support to help improve engagement, confidence, emotional wellbeing, and access to learning. This may include supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH needs, or learning difficulties.

Requirements

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Confident providing 1:1 and small group interventions
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
• Experience in education, care or support roles desirable
