Principal Project Engineer (Civil)

Principal Civil Engineer – design works for water and wastewater projects throughout Northern Ireland and UK. Specialist design of highway bridges, complex temporary works and structural piling.

Responsibilities

• Producing Technical Reports
• Providing Assistance to senior management in the preparation of technical and financial proposals
• Contribute to work winning and preparation of bid documents
• Manage personal / team budgets and resources
• Keep up to date with industry best practice
• Act in the role of Contractor’s Responsible Engineer
• Coordinating and ensuring the production of specification and drawings
• Undertaking concept design, feasibility studies and preliminary design
• Attendance at meetings with team clients, contractors and statutory bodies including Technical Approvals, as required
• Provide supervision and training to staff

Skills and Qualifications

• Chartered Civil Engineer
• Effective communication skills in a Client facing role
• Proven experience of delivering projects to time and budget
• Proven experience of inspection, assessment and design of various structures
• 10 years design experience in a range of civil engineering projects
• Full UK Driving Licence
