Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Electronics Engineer to support the servicing and maintenance of Electrical and Electronic Test Equipment, including Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE).
This is a varied, technically engaging role within a high‑performing team responsible for supporting manufacturing across all stages of product assembly, integration, and test. You will work collaboratively with engineering and support functions to resolve routine and non‑routine issues, contributing to activities such as calibration, commissioning, drift analysis, fault diagnosis and repair of test equipment.
You will join an experienced engineering team supporting complex test platforms used in advanced system manufacturing and validation. Full training will be provided to develop your capability in calibrating and supporting bespoke test equipment across a wide technology range, from DC through to microwave. Ongoing development is encouraged, with regular reviews to support your technical growth and broaden your engineering expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing across all stages of product assembly, integration, and test.
- Collaborate with engineering and support functions to resolve routine and non‑routine issues.
- Calibrate, commission, analyse drift, diagnose faults and repair test equipment.
- Provide technical support and knowledge sharing within the team.
Essential Skills & Experience
- HNC or HND (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline, with practical experience.
- Experience in calibration of test equipment and maintenance of test systems to component level.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation (instructions, drawings, specifications) and apply to fault finding, measurement and repair activities.
- Solid understanding of calibration principles and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident communicator, able to adapt style to different audiences.
- Willingness to support and mentor junior team members where required.
- Familiarity with SAP is desirable.
- Experience working with environmental chambers would be advantageous.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain Security Clearance (SC). The role is on a secure site.
- Must hold British Nationality as primary nationality.
- Full‑time, 5 days per week on site.
