Shaw healthcare is looking for a Domestic Assistant to join the team in Surehaven Glasgow. You will join a team that is fully committed to making a difference to the lives of those we provide care for. Our aim is to deliver the highest standard of care to our service users and to provide the same standard of care that we would expect our own family members to receive.
Surehaven Glasgow was established in 2010 and is registered with Healthcare Improvement Scotland as an Independent Low Secure Mental Health Hospital.
We can accommodate up to twenty one patients aged between 18 to 65 with a primary diagnosis of mental illness, some of whom are liable to be detained under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Scotland Act 2003 and can have forensic backgrounds. Residents are housed across two gender specific wards.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize rooms including furnishings in assigned work areas
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness of the service and laundry causing minimal disruption to our service users and their care
- Communicate and engage effectively with our service users, their families and colleagues, demonstrating good interpersonal and working relationship skills
- Work without direct supervision
- Use a variety of cleaning products, paying particular attention to COSHH regulated products
- Initiate and maintain a high level of hygiene within the home

Salary: £13.65 per hour
Working Hours: 28 hours per week (includes alternative weekends)
Shift Times: 07:00-15:00
