Information Officer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Information Officer to join the Business Intelligence team. Ideal candidates will have experience of data or statistical analysis, and customer service or meeting customer requirements. The role requires meeting a range of fixed deadlines for national statistics and datasets, prioritising a mixed workload, and liaising with colleagues.

Main duties of the job

The Business Intelligence team provides a reporting and analysis service to clinical services and management. Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective communications with colleagues at all times.
  • Maintain existing BI system content and respond to support requests.
  • Understand and document information requirements of clinical and corporate teams.
  • Develop and undertake information analyses to meet management and clinical information requirements.
  • Develop and implement business intelligence reports accessible across the Trust.
  • Meet ongoing regular corporate information requirements and external reporting requirements.

Training will be provided on IBM Cognos Analytics; prior knowledge is not required.

Person specification

Experience

  • Relevant diploma, degree or work experience.
  • Experience in data or statistical analysis.

Skills

  • Ability to acquire skills in the use of BI systems.
  • Clear and concise communication.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of or experience using SQL to query databases.

Additional information

Interviews will be held in person in Leeds. The successful candidate will be expected to attend office days in Leeds as required.
