Financial Crime Operations (FCO) Investigations Manager – Assistant Vice President

Location: Birmingham, UK

The FCO Investigations Manager leads investigations and intelligence activities, ensuring compliance with anti‑money laundering, sanctions, fraud, bribery, and other regulatory requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Review QC and QA outcomes for Level 1 Transaction Monitoring alerts, providing feedback and action items.
  • Coach investigators to enhance knowledge and identify training needs.
  • Manage batch resources and allocate alerts by risk prioritisation.
  • Set expectations with the team, documenting performance and progress.
  • Identify issues and risks related to team performance and Service Level Agreements.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Substantial experience in an AML/CTF role or a regulatory financial background.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Transaction Monitoring and case‑management systems, plus Excel for capacity‑planning forecasts.
  • Familiarity with Wealth, Markets, Trade Finance, Corporate Finance, Asset Management, or Correspondent Banking products (beneficial).
  • Relevant industry or AML qualification is advantageous.
