Clark Wood, a specialist recruitment consultancy within the Public Practice Accountancy and Tax sectors, is seeking an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior to join a dynamic and forward‑thinking accountancy firm in Goole.
As an Accounts & Audit Semi Senior, you will be involved in a combination of accounts preparation, tax compliance, and audit assignments. This role offers exposure to a broad range of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships across various industries.
This position provides a stable platform to progress into a senior accountant, flexible working arrangements and hybrid working, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (full‑time equivalent) and free nearby parking.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies.
- Prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships.
- Prepare corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
- Assist in the planning and execution of audit assignments.
- Conduct audit fieldwork and work closely with senior auditors to complete audits efficiently.
- Provide support to clients on accounting and tax matters.
Ideal Candidate
- Partial or fully qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role within a practice environment.
- Proficiency in preparing accounts and tax returns.
- Experience in assisting with audit assignments.
