Teach Agency are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming Primary School in Little Paxton, Cambridgeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Upper Key Stage 2 and enjoys supporting pupils as they develop independence, confidence, and strong learning foundations. The school offers a supportive team environment and a positive learning culture. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the planning, delivery, and assessment of a Year 5 class, working closely with colleagues and support staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
The Role
- Full responsibility for a Year 5 class
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and senior leaders
- Participate in staff meetings and CPD as required
Key Requirements
- Secure knowledge of the Year 5 / Upper KS2 curriculum
- Ability to motivate, challenge, and support pupils of varying abilities
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Professional, reliable, and committed approach
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold a degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have an up-to-date CV
- Be entitled to work in the UK
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
This role is suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers and could be offered on a long-term or permanent basis, depending on the school’s needs.
