Job Type: 2 afternoons a week (Tuesday & Wednesday) 13:30 – 18:30 plus one weekend day shift – 6 hours
Must: Drive (UK license – manual or automatic)
Company and Role: We are recruiting a Children’s Support Worker to provide care for a young male in their own home. Due to an ABI, our client has cerebral palsy and delayed physical development. He lives at home with his parents and attends mainstream primary school. He uses mobility devices such as a power wheelchair, walker and standing frame at home.
Responsibilities: Support the client with picking up from school, attending scheduled activities and therapies, provide snacks and help with homework. Provide a dynamic, engaging presence and enforce appropriate boundaries.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with young children is essential
- Experience supporting children with complex care needs
- Driver with access to a vehicle
- Compassionate, reliable and person-centred approach
