Print And Textile Design Intern (Work Placement)

Hayley Menzies is a London‑based contemporary luxury fashion label. Established in 2011, the brand evolved from a small Portobello Market stall into a globally recognised womenswear brand. Known for its unique aesthetic, Hayley Menzies crafts timeless pieces for those with a bold and refined sense of style.

The Role

As a Print & Textile Design Intern, you will work closely with the design team and creative director to assist with:

• Research and concept development
• Creating and updating mood boards
• Colouring up print ranges
• Re‑colouring existing prints
• Creating CADs and digital designs
• Using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to develop artwork
• Supporting the team with day‑to‑day creative or admin tasks

About You

• A university student studying Print Design, Textile Design, Fashion Textiles or similar
• Needing to undertake a work placement as part of their course
• Has functional skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Passionate about print, colour and design
• Interested in the fashion industry (bonus if you love luxury brands)
• Proactive, organised and eager to get involved
• Offers a portfolio proving experience in developing print and artworks with a keen eye for colour

Placement Details

• Unpaid placement
• Travel expenses covered up to £12 per day
• Availability of 2–3 days per week
• Based in a small, friendly creative team
