We are looking for a Senior Analys to join our Economics, Performance & Planning directorate within the Performance & Planning Team. The team is responsible for business performance reporting, orchestration of a portfolio of business improvement initiatives and tracking delivery of our shareholder and regulatory business plans – in collaboration with the executive team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and numerical background with a proven track record in delivering outputs for senior stakeholders at pace and to a high standard.

Along with a competitive salary between £50,000 – £60,000, other benefits include:

Key responsibilities

  • Perform in depth analysis and benchmarking across the sector to inform key decision making.
  • Monitor and forecast our incentive and non-financial performance, assisting key decision makers in maximising performance in these areas.
  • Oversight and reporting of the portfolio of business improvement initiatives – levying challenge onto senior stakeholders and providing insight into performance gaps and developing corrective actions;
  • Manage the non-financial elements of the annual business plan production – ultimately feeding into the shareholder
  • Supporting the wider Economics, Performance & Planning directorate, as and when required
  • Deputise for the Performance & Planning Lead when required.
  • High standards: Emphasis on attention to detail and the consistent delivery of accurate, timely and compliant regulatory reporting.
  • Stakeholder Management: Leading on interactions and building working relationships across multiple directorates and senior stakeholders to drive forward continuous improvements and manage expectations professionally and effectively.
  • Presentational Skills: Ability to turn data into meaningful and insightful outputs and concise supporting narratives, tailored to both internal and external audiences.
  • Analytic Capability: Experienced in the delivery of high-quality analytics, ability to identify trends, provide early surfacing of potential risk and opportunities and utilise business-wide oversight to influence the development of practical solutions.
  • Organisation and Time Management: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities whilst adhering to a defined and cyclical reporting schedule.

Qualifications, skills & Experience

  • Ability to turn data into meaningful actionable insight to tell a story/assess performance and opportunities to drive improvements.
  • Strong analytical ability with data retrieval and manipulation – strong in the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • An understanding of UK energy regulation, price reviews and regulatory frameworks in the energy sector.
  • Experience of business performance reporting and senior engagement – up to and including Executive & C suite. xwzovoh
