Job Purpose
In this role, you will lead the end‑to‑end product development process, partnering closely with Design to bring ideas to life with precision and care. You will balance technical excellence with creative expression, ensuring each product reflects Burberry heritage and meets the highest standards of quality and performance.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Design to translate creative concepts into technically viable, high‑quality products.
- Manage the development lifecycle from concept through to pre‑production, ensuring timelines and critical milestones are achieved.
- Build strong relationships with vendors, aligning on capabilities, cost, and delivery while protecting the design vision.
- Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and margin expectations.
- Identify risks throughout development and implement solutions to maintain progress and product integrity.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date product data within PLM systems and support the development of junior team members.
Personal Profile
- Strong understanding of garment construction and materials, with the ability to guide technical decisions.
- Experience collaborating with design and cross‑functional teams to deliver creative outcomes.
- Skilled in managing vendor relationships and negotiating effectively to achieve shared goals.
- Confident in managing timelines and balancing creativity with commercial considerations.
- Clear communicator with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build trust across teams.
- Interest in fashion trends, market insights, and the luxury customer, with a continuous learning mindset.
