MVOG1094 Personal Assistant

Purpose of Job

Looking for two personal assistants to provide 2:1 care for an hour twice a day.

Hours of Work

One hour per day around lunchtime and a second early evening between 5 and 7. There is some flexibility but ideally at the same time each day. Total 14 hours per week.

Rate of Pay

£15 per hour.

Tasks Involved

• Taking the occupant to the toilet (commode) and changing pads.
• Changing sheets if needed.
• Providing lunch/dinner if required.
• Talking and engaging with the occupant.
• Prompting medication.

Type of Person Required

• Female only, due to the personal care involved.
• Willing to engage in conversation and get to know the client.
• Happy to work in a home with a friendly dog.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Kind and friendly.
• Understanding and respecting confidentiality when working in a private home.

About the Job

This part‑time role requires a National Insurance number. A trial period will be necessary. Wage will be paid four‑weekly and appropriate holiday pay provided. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) check before commencement. Fees for the DBS check will be covered by the employer.
