Production Operative – Church Stretton / £12.71 per hour / 18‑Month Contract / Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm / Full Training Provided

Join a global leader in life sciences manufacturing as a Production Operative in a clean, modern manufacturing environment in Church Stretton. You’ll be working on the production and testing of specialist chromatography products used worldwide.

Note: this is not a research or white‑coat scientist position – it’s a practical production role on the shop floor in a cleanroom/lab‑style environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials, components and equipment for daily production runs
  • Load and process chromatography columns according to set procedures
  • Carry out basic quality checks and routine testing (training provided)
  • Accurately record production data and complete batch paperwork
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe work area
  • Perform simple equipment checks and highlight any issues to supervisors
  • Follow SOPs, health & safety and quality standards at all times

About You

We’re keen to speak to people with experience in: production, manufacturing, food production, packing, assembly, warehouse or quality control.

  • Comfortable with repetitive, hands‑on tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and able to follow written instructions exactly
  • Reliable, punctual and a good team player
  • Safety‑conscious and happy working in a cleanroom / controlled environment
  • Willing to learn product‑specific processes and procedures
