Overview
Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Job Reference: 2606/01
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum | Permanent | Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00 AM to 4.30 PM
Responsibilities
- Hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance (PPM + breakdowns) on industrial process equipment
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns
- Support continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve performance
Requirements
- Recognised electrical & mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Proven multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial / FMCG / manufacturing / recycling environment
- Strong health & safety focus and structured problem-solving approach
Desirable Skills
- 18th Edition, PLC fault-finding/diagnostics, VSD/inverter experience, welding/fabrication, CMMS experience
