Location: West Thurrock, RM20 3LB

Job Length: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, working on the late shift (starting at 2pm and finishing at 10pm) Monday to Friday. Flexibility required to work outside of these times and to cover other shifts to suit business needs.

About the role

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role will play a key part in our success journey and involves:

Role Responsibilities

• Shunting vehicles in the yard and on the public highway
• Reporting any obvious vehicle defects to the transport team
• Using an FLT to safely unload inbound stock
• Loading stock onto drays for delivery to customers
• Working closely with the transport and office teams to ensure smooth operations and meet overall site objectives
• Holding health and safety at the forefront of all procedures

Experience and Key Attributes

• A current and valid Class 2 Driver’s Licence and CPC Driver’s Card
• Experience using an FLT or an FLT Licence (desired). If no licence is held, must be willing to learn, as in‑house training will be provided
• Experience shunting and/or yard management
• Experience working in a warehouse for an FMCG
• Manual handling competency
