Data Engineer

• Heathrow, Hillingdon – Onsite 2/3 days a week
• 6 month contract
• Inside of IR35

As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines and platforms that power analytics, machine learning, and data‑driven products. You will work closely with data scientists, product teams, and engineers to ensure scalable, well‑structured, and trusted data is available across the business.

You must come from a Consultancy background – McKinsey, Orphoz, BCG X, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, BlackRock, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines
• Design and optimize data models in data warehouses and data lakes
• Ensure data reliability, availability, and observability across datasets
• Integrate data from multiple internal systems
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enable analytics and ML use cases
• Apply best practices for data security, governance, and documentation.

Key Skills and Experiences

• Strong SQL and experience with Python or similar languages
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. AWS)
• Hands‑on experience with modern data warehouses
• Understanding of ETL/ELT patterns and data modeling principles
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and production‑grade systems
• Must come from a consultancy background – McKinsey, Orphoz, BCG X, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, BlackRock, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC
