We are excited to recruit an experienced, friendly, and professional Receptionist to join the team at London Heathrow Airport in our busy Occupational Health department.
Acting as the first point of contact for visitors both face‑to‑face and via telephone, the chosen candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the centre. You will be responsible for managing the reception area, coordinating team diaries, and carrying out various administrative and support duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as the first point of contact for the service, showcasing excellent customer service skills when welcoming people to reception and checking them in for appointments.
- Answering all calls that come into the department and liaising with relevant members of staff.
- Responding or escalating all emails on the Heathrow OH mailbox.
- Booking appointments, invoicing, and closing cases.
- Reviewing cases, chasing updates and gathering information.
- Preparing any GP report requests and chasing updates.
- Preparing any Subject Access Record request ready for OH Manager to check and approve.
- Preparing any MIC packs received from Unum and sending out to client.
- Escalating complex cases, complaints or those that are progressing slowly to relevant colleagues.
- Carrying out general administration duties to support the team.
- Ordering of consumables and Stationery.
- Use of multiple databases and internet systems for recording of statistics
- Managing clinician diaries and supporting the smooth running of the occupational health department.
- Showcasing a genuine interest in Health and Wellbeing.
What we are looking for:
- The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, with prior experience and excellent IT proficiency, including the use of database systems, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- You should have a minimum of 5 GCSEs and demonstrate great attention to detail, the ability to prioritise a busy schedule, and the capability to work independently.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with clients and health professionals.
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to maintain discretion when handling confidential medical matters is key.
- We are looking for someone self‑motivated, flexible, and with a keen interest in health and wellbeing, who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.

Hours
This is a full‑time, on‑site position based at London Heathrow Airport, where the chosen candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8am to 4pm.

The salary for this role is up to £28,860K per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Heathrow Airport is a real living wage employer.
