Panama shift pattern – 12 hour rotating days and night shifts (all bank holidays and weekends off)

Your Impact

Joining a highly skilled team of 5 other Shift Engineers, you will be responsible for first line reactive and planned maintenance of varied high speed packing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactive and reactive fault finding and maintenance of motors, pumps and electrical control systems.
  • Providing support for, and alignment with the Engineering Management Team.
  • Driving breakdown analysis to continuously improve asset intensity and reduce unplanned stoppages.
  • Effective communicating with all key stakeholders to ensure departmental goals/priorities are achieved.
  • Supporting the departmental AMM strategy by revising and improving PM03 plans and monitoring M&I spend.

Ingredients for Success

To be successful in this role you will already have significant experience as an engineer within an FMCG manufacturing environment.

It is essential for the successful candidate to be qualified up to NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline.

Other Key Criteria

  • Completed a time-served multi-skilled apprenticeship to a minimum of NVQ level 3/City & Guilds/BTEC/HNC.
  • Desirable – prior experience within an FMCG environment.
  • Hands‑on, practical approach with a can‑do attitude.
  • Team player delivering compliance in safety, quality, cost and performance.
  • Support development of the team in line with technical competency matrix and actively develop own competencies.
  • Competent in the use of GLOBE SAP systems and reporting.
  • Good knowledge of TPM/PM methodologies and drive to implement.
