Job Description
Job Title: SEND HI Support Worker (CSW) – Multiple Vacancies
Pay Structure: £13,161 – £13,997 (pro rate) for 18 hours (FTE £31,507 – £33,509)
£21,935 – £23,329 (FTE £31,507 – £33,509) for 30 hours
Location: Multiple locations
Hours and Weeks per Year: 18 and 30 hours available / 38 weeks
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality support across the college, working closely with the SENDCO for HI to ensure appropriate plans and strategies are in place.
- Support students through school transitions, through college, and towards a positive destination.
- Identify interventions from data, oversee the EHCP process including annual reviews.
- Ensure students feel valued and well supported for preparation for adulthood.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g., GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C).
- Minimum Level 3 HI qualification, or working towards one; a relevant HE degree is advantageous.
- Previous experience working with young people with SEND in an educational setting.
- In‑depth knowledge of EHCPs, SEND Code of Practice and support strategies.
