Science & Maths Teacher / Leader of Science

Full‑time | 5 days per week | Temporary with potential to become permanent

Teacher of Science & Mathematics with responsibility for leading Science.

We are seeking an exceptional teacher and aspiring or experienced curriculum leader to join our dedicated team as Leader of Science. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop Science provision across Key Stage 3 while also teaching Science and Mathematics within a successful and ambitious middle school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development of Science across the school.
  • Ensure a broad, engaging and ambitious curriculum.
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning within the subject area.
  • Support and coach colleagues to improve practice.
  • Analyse performance data and implement improvement strategies.
  • Promote enrichment opportunities and STEM engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders to drive school improvement.
  • Teach Science and Mathematics across Key Stage 3, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, resilience and academic success.

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Have strong subject knowledge in Science.
  • Demonstrate excellent teaching practice.
  • Have experience of leading a subject area or show clear leadership potential.
  • Be passionate about curriculum development.
  • Have high expectations of all learners.
  • Be committed to continual professional development.
