AI Engineer (Microsoft and Python), 6+ Month Contract (Inside IR35), Belfast
A leading global enterprise undergoing significant digital transformation is seeking an AI Engineer for an initial 6‑month contract, with strong potential for extension. This role is based in Belfast and involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders across the organisation. The position is a hands‑on engineering role focused on designing, building, integrating, and deploying AI solutions across the business, working directly with operational teams, subject‑matter experts, and technical stakeholders as part of a major AI‑driven innovation programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI solutions using Microsoft technologies and Python
- Deliver hands‑on AI engineering, including model integration and production‑grade code development.
- Partner with business users and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Own end‑to‑end delivery from concept through to production deployment
- Experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure, M365, Copilot integrations, etc.)
- Ability to write clean, production‑ready code
- Experience building or integrating AI/ML‑driven solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑facing skills
- Proactive, energetic, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, enterprise‑level environment
