Job Description:

We are a multi award‑winning charity that invests all its profits back into the people we support, our workforce and our local communities. We are currently looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Milton of Campsie near Kirkintilloch.

Full Time (36 hours) and Bank/Casual positions are available.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and be able to drive a manual vehicle.

About the Role

You will support an individual with complex autism, following a detailed care and support plan, building a trusting relationship, and working as part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person‑centred support to an individual with complex autism.
  • Follow a detailed care and support plan.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to identify and implement support changes.
  • Create a safe and trusting relationship with the person you support.
  • Contribute to the development and review of the care plan.
  • Attend training, use PPE and comply with health and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Full UK driving licence, manual vehicle.
  • Previous experience supporting adults with autism or similar needs is preferred but not essential.
  • Patience, empathy, compassion and sensitivity to others.
  • A strong work ethic, reliability, honesty, determination and problem‑solving skills.
  • Resilience and ability to work in a flexible, customer‑led manner.
  • Willingness and ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt to the person’s needs.
