About this Role
Teaching Assistant. 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, 5 days a week, fixed-term until 31/08/2027. Work in a values-led school with a commitment to staff growth, well‑being and outstanding progress for all pupils.
St Luke’s CE Primary School is situated on the outskirts of Northampton. We are a 2‑form entry school with 400 children on roll and members of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET). In our last Ofsted inspection, September 2025, we received a Good rating.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment, meeting the needs of pupils and curriculum.
- Work creatively with the teacher to provide learning and pastoral care.
- Demonstrate flexibility, independence, initiative and creativity in different learning situations.
- Support the ethos of a Church school.
- Commit to child protection and safeguarding welfare.

- Enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and positive about role in education and contribution to the school community.
- Experience or understanding of child protection policy and safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to work effectively, flexibly and independently.
