Administration Assistant / First Aid

(Mortimer Community College)

Permanent – required as soon as possible. 37 hours per week (Term Time plus 5 days). Band 4 SCP 6, £25,989 per annum pro rata.

An exciting opportunity to work in our busy school office. We are looking for a versatile, well‑organised, and professional Administration Assistant to provide a high‑quality service to staff, students, and visitors. Under the instruction and guidance of senior staff, you will give general administrative support to facilitate the day‑to‑day running of the school office.

As a First Aider for the school, you will administer first aid to any student or colleague who requires support during the school day. You will also cover reception on a daily basis for short periods and respond to enquiries from parents, carers and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the school office, under senior staff guidance.
  • Administer first aid to students and staff during the school day.
  • Cover reception for short periods on a daily basis.
  • Handle enquiries from parents, carers, and visitors.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a school environment is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team with a calm, professional and caring persona.
  • Courteous and caring behaviour towards students, colleagues, and parents at all times.
