Job overview
It is an exciting time to join GMMH’s Addictions Network. Achieve Treatment and Recovery Services provides support for people experiencing problems with drug and alcohol use across Bury, Salford and Trafford. We are an NHS led service, working with multiple agencies in a unique partnership model that enables us to work with patients in a holistic way focusing on the person and not the “problem”.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking to recruit a Senior Nurse with NMP who will deliver specialist support and prescribing interventions to patients accessing treatment at Achieve.
The successful candidate will work across our services in Salford and Bury, providing clinical sessions and taking a leadership role in the team – supervising junior members of the clinical team and providing clinical guidance to colleagues across the service, partner agencies and beyond.
The successful candidate will also provide a range of clinical interventions, including detoxification interventions, blood borne virus screening, vaccinations, administering long‑acting injectable opiate medications, and carrying out a range of physical health investigations.

Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over 7,000 staff delivering services from more than 122 locations.
We provide inpatient and community‑based mental health care for people living in Bolton, Manchester, Salford, Trafford and Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester and beyond.
Our people enjoy their work, have opportunities to learn and develop their skills and are encouraged to generate new ideas that improve care for our service users.
Compensation and benefits
Pay Enhancements – 30% additional for evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays, and 60% additional for Sundays and bank holidays.
Annual leave: 27 days plus bank holidays, rising to 29 days after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.
