Roofer – East Midlands
Salary: £31,270 – £32,916
We are recruiting for an experienced Roofer who will ideally have experience of working within a social housing or local authority environment. You will undertake roofing and other trade repairs and maintenance work, to provide high quality, ‘right first time’, cost-effective building services to the business and its customers.
Please be advised that this role covers our properties based within the East Midlands.
Key Requirements
- The ability to undertake associated trade tasks within competency, NVQ2 qualification or equivalent and long‑term relevant trade experience.
- A high level of skill in roofing repairs and replacement works.
- Additional basic skills to complete roofing related works, such as replacement timber works, UPVC fascia & soffits, felt and single‑ply flat roofing, leadwork, pointing and any other trade skills.
It is preferable to also have a working‑at‑height certificate (Tetra or similar), abrasive wheel training, PASMA qualification and the ability to read construction drawings.
Driving & Fleet
- You must hold a valid manual UK driving licence (you will be provided with your own Metworks van for working hours).
- A minimum of one year of significant driving experience is required.
- MTVH reserves the right to withdraw this offer of employment if the company fleet policy is unable to secure adequate insurance.
Additional Information
To meet our commitment to providing safe, high‑quality services to our customers, we will complete a standard background check with the Disclosure and Barring Service once an offer of employment is made, paid for by MTVH. You will also be added to the DBS updating service, which will be renewed every three years.
The salary displayed will be paid for anyone starting on or after 1st April 2026.
