Roofer

Salary: £32,640.00 – £35,360.00 per year. This role seeks an experienced Damp, Mould & Roofing Technician based in Newbury, Thatcham and Reading area to deliver high‑quality remediation and roofing works across residential and commercial properties.

Job responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve damp and mould issues, including roof defects, water ingress and ventilation problems.
• Carry out effective mould remediation using approved biocidal and antifungal treatments.
• Prepare, clean and treat affected surfaces to prevent mould recurrence.
• Undertake internal and external painting using mould‑resistant coatings and finished paints.
• Perform roofing works: repairs to tiles/slates, flashing, guttering and general roof maintenance.
• Identify and rectify defects that contribute to damp issues, ensuring long‑term solutions.
• Complete minor building works such as basic repairs and reinstatement.
• Carry out all work safely, efficiently and in line with building regulations, company procedures and health & safety requirements.
• Manage workload to meet agreed target completion dates and service level agreements.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and report progress.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working in occupied properties.
